It will run for a week at the Palace of Fine Arts at 17 Kopernika Street, and 700 volunteers will help St. Nicholas, as the press service of the Lviv City Council told The Day.

“St. Nicholas is a spirit of happiness that comes from unselfish gifts to those whom we love and care about, and, very importantly, those who need them,” the organizers said. “In order for this spirit to come to every needy child on St. Nicholas’s Day, our volunteers will work very hard, as we have only a few days left before the most anticipated children’s winter holiday, and it is our common responsibility to preserve that belief in miracles and goodness in the hearts of children.”

The organizers have also invited all people of good will to visit St. Nicholas’s Factory and join “St. Nicholas Remembers You” campaign by donating toys, sweets, stationery items, and children’s books to the factory.

Let us recall that “St. Nicholas Remembers You” has been an annual charity drive since 2001, launched in Lviv by youth NGO “Academy of Ukrainian Youth” and aiming to help children and young people to reveal and show their sensitivity, dedication, spirit of sacrifice and unselfishness. The organizers say that last year they were able to bring gifts to 3,000 needy children in Lviv, with over 750 high school and university students taking part.
