March 7, 1921. The Council of People’s Commissars of the Ukrainian SSR approved a decree On Organizing Workers’ Faculties to educate workers in a Party spirit.
March 8, 1922. The All-Ukrainian Central Executive Committee passed a decision On Confiscating Church Valuables for the Fund to Support the Victims of Famine, then used the seized valuables to support Communist Parties abroad.
1946. On the initiative of the People’s Commissariats for State Security and Internal Affairs, a Council of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church opened in Lviv, approving a decision On Canceling the Union of Berest and Joining the Russian Orthodox Church.
March 9, 1930. The trial of a group of Ukrainian intelligentsia charged with creating the Ukrainian Liberation Union underground counterrevolutionary organization started in Kyiv.
March 10, 1992. Ukraine was affiliated with the North Atlantic Cooperation Council in Brussels.
1995. The first closed auction of 1995 internal state loan obligations was held at the National Bank of Ukraine.
March 11, 1921. The Council of People’s Commissars of Ukrainian SSR approved a decree, On Purchasing Cultural Valuables for State Museums from Private Persons.
1997. Presidents of Ukraine and Moldova signed a declaration On Creating Customs Union in Chisinau.
March 12, 1923. The Council of People’s Commissars of Ukrainian SSR sent a protest note to the governments of Great Britain, Italy, and France against annexation Western Galicia by the Second Rzecz Pospolita.
1945. The Ukrainian National Committee started its activities in Berlin, aiming to create a national army of the remains of the SS Galychyna Division.
March 13, 1669. A treaty was signed between the Cossack starshyna senior officers, hetman Demyan Mnohohrishny, and Moscovite ambassadors (the so-called Glukhiv Articles).
1949. The Ukrainian Academy of Arts and Sciences in Canada was founded.
