“Moments of kindness and unity”
Den’s photo exhibition will run in Morshyn till August 14
Den’s photo exhibition has been spending this summer in Lviv region. With Den’s Days in the city itself completed, the holding of intellectual initiatives and its projects have come to Morshyn. Let us recall that July 15 was the opening day of the exhibition of the best photos of Den’s International Photo Contest 2015 there. Now, the second month of summer has ended, meaning that the Morshyn exhibition is halfway through its lifetime.
In this season, the resort town of Morshyn is crowded with tourists from all over Ukraine and beyond. Accordingly, many visitors come every day to inspect Den’s photo display. With each passing day, the number of blank pages in the guest book of the exhibition decreases. “The exhibition has caused in me the opposite senses of sadness, anger, hope, faith, and love... I thank the authors of the photos and the organizers, who do a great job by agitating the souls of their viewers,” Martyn from Morshyn heartily wrote. “I am incredibly grateful for this photo exhibition, which reflects pain, grief, but at the same time hope being experienced by Ukraine. It is impossible to look at some pictures without tears, as they bring sorrow and anguish to people’s hearts,” a guest from Kryvy Rih admitted.
“DEN’S EXHIBITION RADIATES KINDNESS, WHICH EVERY VISITOR WILL LONG STAY IMBUED WITH”
“Importantly, we need unity not only between east and west, south and north, but all around our multiethnic country. Den’s photo exhibition can cope perfectly well with this task. This can be proven by the 20-year-long history of the newspaper, which I had known throughout these years. This event means a lot to Morshyn in general and each of its visitors in particular. The photo exhibition lays deep in the heart of every visitor these moments of kindness, cooperation, and unity. Den’s photo exhibition radiates kindness, which every visitor will long stay imbued with. And it is important that we all keep sowing the seeds of kindness in our life fields. I wish that the atmosphere that prevails here would intensify Ukrainians’ enthusiasm for doing good and creative deeds. The photo exhibition’s appeals for unity, understanding, and harmony contribute to strengthening the spirit of our people. ‘I was in Morshyn! I visited Den’s exhibition! I saw kindness there! Let us come together!’ – these words should be uttered by visitors from other regions on arrival home. In turn, I can confidently say that cooperation between Morshyn and Den will bring many more fruits in the future,” stressed deputy director for marketing of Morshyn Resort and Sanatorium Complex Mykola Furmaniuk.
“IT IS LIKE A FOUNTAIN THAT CARVES COMPLETELY NEW FACETS OF OUR LIFE”
“For me, Den is special in that it enables one to take an extraordinary look at the things that seemed standard. It is like a fountain that carves completely new facets of our life. This is a newspaper which one touches to feel truth, knowing how often we lose faith in fairness and objectivity. Thank you for coming to our little town, allowing us to see and sense so closely the truth through these photos,” director of Morshyn School of Arts Rostyslav Fedynets shared his thoughts with us.
“Without a doubt, no visitors will leave this exhibition unmoved. Each photo gets to the very heart... especially those depicting scenes of hard everyday life of our soldiers in the anti-terrorist operation area, who protect us in the east of Ukraine. They bring tears to our eyes... It is our pain, but also our pride,” teacher of Morshyn School of Arts Uliana Ilkiv noted.
Well, the next two weeks will be an excellent opportunity to visit the famous resort of Lviv region, and not only because of hot August weather. Till August 14, guests of the town can easily add another item to the list of places they would like to visit in Morshyn. We mean Den’s photo exhibition, hosted by the local Palace of Culture, located at 52 Franka Street. We will be waiting for you every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free!
