Ukraine’s best women’s tennis player Elina Svitolina has set a new personal and national record in the WTA singles rankings. Her successful performance at a WTA tournament in Stanford propelled the Ukrainian to the 15th place in the world classification. Let us recall that Svitolina’s previous highest achievement was the 17th position in the rankings. By the way, this is the first time in Ukraine’s history that our female tennis player is among 15 strongest in the world.

Meanwhile, other Ukrainian women’s tennis players occupy the following positions in the updated WTA rankings for the week: Lesia Tsurenko is 54th (-2 compared to previous rankings), Kateryna Bondarenko is 103rd (+3), Maryna Zanevska is 139th (-12), and Anhelina Kalinina 154th (-2).

At the same time, Serena Williams is at the top of the WTA rankings.
