Ukraine will host a unique event: “Dyvohonka,” a children’s cycling race. It will be held from May 21 to June 4. It is aimed to develop and encourage children to cycle and to promote a healthy lifestyle and environmental awareness, UNIAN reports. This ecological action is an essential part of the current cycling race. Volunteers clean the sites of the race.

Kyiv will host this action on May 28 in the Partisan’s Glory Park (Kharkivsky district). Kids aged from 3 to 15 will be able to participate. The same actions will take place in Uzhhorod, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Ternopil, Lviv and other cities. Olha Yurchyshyn, one of the coordinators of the race, says: “We want to draw the attention of the kids and their parents to cycling, to show them that it is a wonderful and useful pastime.” The Dyvosvit public organization, together with the Plast youth organization, are in charge of the management and organization of the race.
