07 September, 00:00

The Active Solar Company (Kyiv) plans to launch two solar power stations with capacities of 1 MW and 1.5 MW in Crimea in mid-September of 2010. As the CEO of five subsidiaries of Active Solar Serhii Kolobov explained, they plan to launch three more solar power stations in the future. Kolobov noted that each power station would be registered as a separate company, as Crimea Solar 1 and Crimea Solar 2, respectively (both in Simferopol raion, the Crimea). Applications for the issuance of licenses for these companies to the National Commission for Energy Regulation have already been filed, he said. As it is known, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, by virtue of its Decree No. 682 dated July 30, exempted the import of two solar power plants and their components to Ukraine from customs duties and VAT. According to the text of the resolution, the cost of the two power plants is 4.658 million euros; their cables will cost 100,696 euros.
