Monica From Khmelnytsky to Seduce the World

29 December, 00:00
On December 24 a new Monica candy began coming off the line at the Khmelnytsky Confections Factory.

Technologist Oksana Kaduk, 23 year-old creator of the new sweetmeat, said she was now resting from her creative work on the sour history of Monica and Bill. "Commercial interest does play a role in this product," says plant director Vasyl Liubovetsky. "As a fine souvenir we have a letter from Mr. Clinton, the US President, congratulating our workers on our Birmingham Torch, which he had eaten in a time of crisis."

Ostensibly, the Khmelnytsky confectioners intended their production of the candy with such a piquant name to be a show of support for Bill Clinton in this time of crisis. Let the orally active temptress be accessible to one and all, they say.

The Khmelnytsky Monica "has an elongated rectangular form" and is packed in a box sporting a green apple (to symbolize temptation?). Oksana Kaduk expects the fruit of her creative efforts to seduce the whole world and all walks of life. At least one Israeli firm, with which the Khmelnytsky firm has worked fruitfully for four years, has already placed a large order for Monica, the price of which is four hryvnias a box.
