City of Lions is Ukraine’s newest fashion hub

A fashion week will be held for the first time in Lviv. According to the organizers, this event will be held in an international format and will include well-known designers from Eastern and Southern Europe. There are plans to hold Lviv Fashion Week twice a year: in the spring and fall. Guests are expected from Belarus, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, the Baltic countries and, of course, Ukraine. Young designers will show their collections first, followed by well-known couturiers and designers, including Viktor Anisimov, Oksana Karavanska, Roksolana Bohutska, and Olena Dats.

The nucleus of Lviv Fashion Week is a project called Galician Fashion Seasons Line. Its main goal is to present Lviv as a center of fashion in Eastern European as well as to support new designers and offer them opportunities for creating and promoting their brands.

The shows will be held on March 8 and 9 at Lviv’s Lemberg Exhibition Center. Visitors will be able to try on and buy the clothing on display in the show-room.
