The Videosculpture in Germany exhibition, in the arrangement of which The Day also took active part ended in Kyiv at the Center of Modern Art on Kontraktova Ploshcha. A competition was held among the visitors of the exhibition and our readers. Its participants were asked to answer three quite complex questions on the history of video and videosculpture in Germany. The exhibition enjoyed considerable success among art amateurs, and interest in the competition was great.
The first prize, a free course in German at the Goethe Institute, was won by Olena Shevchuk. Second prize, a catalogue of the exhibition, went to Tetiana Palamar. They, as well as third place winner Valentyna Hryshchuk, also received the one-year CMA membership certificates that provide for the free use of the unique CMA library and Internet. An encouragement award went to Taras Tertychny who was first to send the correct answers. The awards were handed out by Kyiv Director of the Goethe Institute Johannes Ebert and Director of the Center of Modern Art Yuri Onukh.
