Summer Vacations for the Last Romantics

03 июля, 00:00

The current display at the Tadzio Gallery is a real summer one, light, and bearing a somewhat sad title The Last Romantics. A prestigious title conferred on six artists: Olga Petrova, Boris Yegizarjan, Edward Belsky, Igor Yeliseyev, Viktor Trubchaninov, and Dmytro Korsun. Vain would be anyone's efforts to prove or resolve something this July. Time enough to do so throughout the endless remaining months of the year. July is the month for rest and meditation, memories, and dreams. An experience thoroughly investigated and lived through by the Last Romantics. Time to rest. The sun and the sea (Edward Belsky), fruit and smashing beauties wearing big broad hats (Igor Yeliseyev and partially Edward Belsky). Memories. They can turn into a singular asset; something you own and will not share with anyone else, except for transparent pink flashes (Boris Yegizarjan). Also, memories can be a subtle play with generally accepted plots and situations (Viktor Trubchaninov). And memories can be made thoroughly burlesque, with retro-style white airplanes and bicycles (Igor Yeliseyev, although his white airplanes may be taken quite seriously, as is the case with Dmytro Korsun). And dreams, of course, this Bluebird losing a feather when soaring over the earth, created by July's romantic Olga Petrova.
