The victorious friendly match between Kyiv Dynamo and Milan, held at the
San Siro stadium, raised more questions than answers about the functional
capabilities of players coach Valery Lobanovsky is in charge of. Yes, our
fellow countrymen won (goals for Dynamo were scored by Oleksandr Khatskevych
and Kakha Kaladze), but the pattern of their game was clearly outlined
in the first half. And had the Milan players been luckier, no one knows
what the result would have been. Mr. Lobanovsky's main headache is the
play of his defensive line which repeatedly faltered badly.
