30 year-old American Dage Douglas died late at night on Tuesday in the intensive care department of Kyiv Institute of Surgery. He was taken there directly from the Kyiv's Sports Palace, where he participated in no-rules fights between Ukrainian Minamoto Clan team and the World Team. Douglas was knocked out after only a few minutes of fight, with multiple hits over the head causing concussion, brain damage, and heart failure. He was transported to the intensive care unit, where attempts were made to save his life. Unfortunately, efforts to revive him failed. American diplomats refused to comment on the sportsman's death, saying any information may be submitted only on the approval of the deceased's immediate relatives, reports Dmytro Dubovys, The Day.
