This year’s animated film forum will be held in the Scottish town of Coatbridge from August 10 through 17. Called Deep Fried Films, the event has been around since 2005, with online broadcasting of ceremonies and displays introduced in 2011.
“The short animated film Mother’s Heart is a story about the eternally loving Heart that always wants to be close to the Child, its age notwithstanding. On the one hand, my creation is just a cartoon, fairy tale that children would understand. On the other, it is an allegory of the truth, depicting every mother’s situation,” Symonova stressed. Her creative partners from V.O.D.A. group assisted the cartoon-maker, voicing the film.
Let us recall that Symonova, a Yevpatoria resident, had her first success when winning the TV show Ukraine Has Got Talent. Over the past three years, she created and showed more than 300 sand animations, over 100 of which have been posted on YouTube. She went beyond sand animation in 2013, branching out into experimental animation techniques of snow graphics and plastic animation.
