Revolution of Dignity photos on display in the City Hall courtyard

Chernivtsi became the fourth Ukrainian city to host “Human Factor. Last Edition,” an exhibition consisting of 174 pictures by 41 photographers. These shots capture virtually every major Euromaidan event – from peaceful demonstrations to bloody clashes – and for the most part depict ordinary Ukrainians who have had the influence on the country’s history. The spirit of revolution emanates from each photo, inciting a plethora of allusions and emotions within the visitors. The exhibition has already toured Germany, France, Luxembourg, and Poland.
“Though it is still kind of sad to recall the events of the past year, I’m amazed with the professional level of the exhibition,” Chernivtsi Mayor Oleksii Kaspruk said. “No one could have imagined back then that Ukraine would still be engulfed in flames, and that thousands of soldiers and civilians would be killed in the east. But we are convinced that one day the fire of war will subside. These pictures remind us of those brave and determined people, who shaped the course of our history. We need to remember the price of freedom and independence for our country.”
“Human Factor. Last Edition” will stay in Chernivtsi for three weeks. Anyone can buy a photo they like; the funds raised in this manner will be transferred to the needs of ATO. The exhibition then will be on its way to Ivano-Frankivsk.
