Lutsk children drawing war…

What they know about the undeclared war in the east, and how they imagine it – the pupils of Lutsk children’s art school reflected in their paintings which were presented at an exhibition with quite a symbolic name: “With love to Ukraine.” There are 60 pieces of art, made in diverse techniques. Ivan Havryliuk, the school’s principal, says the artwork amazed him by its kindness and dedication to the defense of the Fatherland.

The children, unfortunately, already know a lot about the war, but they want it to stop, they want peace. The soldiers of the First territorial defense battalion “Volyn,” the first visitors of the exhibition, tell how sometimes naive, but always sincere children’s drawings give them courage and strength of mind on the frontline. They know that a war should not disturb a child’s heart, but reality differs.
