Hundred Golden Trademarks of Ukraine Named

A new high-speed train to run between the capital and Dnipropetrovsk, five hundred kilometers of the super modern Kyiv-Odesa highway and the country’s airports reconstruction — those are the things Minister of Transport Hryhory Kyrpa has promised to provide in the near future; the Nord company, producer of household appliances, claimed to have supplied a total of a million of refrigerators, a hundred thousand gas ovens, and about three hundred thousand air-conditioners and washing machines to Ukrainian consumers. Actually, almost all representatives of the firms and enterprises who went last Friday on in stage of the Kyiv Ukrayina palace to receive their awards of the Second Golden Trademarks of Ukraine National Competition expressed their intention to uphold their image, though not getting satisfied with what have already been achieved, and to accelerate their production. In other words, to attain that the mark ‘made in Ukraine’ assures the demand and symbolizes perfect quality. Being aware of the fact that participating in the prestigious competition is a great stimulus for the would-be competitors seems to be the best reward for its organizers. The list of requirements is rather long: perfect image, popularity among the customers, high quality of products or service, and, above all, experience in participating as a sponsor or patron in actions aimed at improving Ukraine’s social and economic situation. Only in this case can a company be called a ‘golden’ trademark (the mark of the exclusive award can be represented on all kinds of produce and used in image campaigns) or win the Business Olympus prize testifying the company to achieve top professionalism in the chosen field. About two thousand leading companies have been vying for the reward this year, with a hundred receiving the honorary title — the best of the best have been chosen via consulting with various ministries and departments and local authorities as well. As for the prestigiousness of the competition as a stimulus for domestic firms, it is witnessed to by the number of the last year’s recipients: according to Leonid Kravchuk, the competition committee gave awards to half as many enterprises. Logically, the process of companies keeping up with the requirements necessary for participating and winning is to be dynamic: next year the national status of the competition will accompanied with the word, international, reports Natalia MELNYK, The Day.
