Found: A Portuguese Heart

Since I became acquainted with your newspaper I have read it regularity. That’s because I’m searching some answers about your country and its people.

I’m Portuguese, and there are in Europe many migrants, the majority of them Ukrainians. There are all kind of people, workers, some of them are engineers, doctors etc., working as mason, cleaners, etc. There are also a lot of Mafiosi. While encountering others I met a young Ukrainian boy, whom I helped to return to home. He’s very kind, and I celebrate The Day I met him. Otherwise this boy would have died here, and there are so many Ukrainians that I fear will never return home.

The question I ask myself is why such people don’t go to their embassy? I know the embassy, please note, and my questions were answered at your article “Hunting for a Ukrainian Heart.” I can only tell you there are here some sensitive Portuguese people wanting to help these people, but being a poor country, this is not easy. I sincerely hope your country get well soon. I would like to know the panel of candidates to the next election, I wish you the best lucky for The Day.
