Ukrainian Peacemakers Escape Casualties

A column of Serbs guarded by Ukrainian peacemakers of the international peacemaking contingent suffered an armed attack in Kosovo. While repelling the attack none of the peacemakers sustained injuries, but one Serb was shot, Premier’s Press Secretary Natalia Zarudna informed journalists on February 14, quoting Defense Minister Oleksandr Kuzmuk’s report at a cabinet meeting. Interfax-Ukraine was told at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry press service that so far it is known only that the attack was carried out in the municipality of Strpce near Brezovica where Ukrainian peacemakers are stationed.
