Poland Will Support Ukraine. With Coal?

According to Jerzy Buzek, Poland and Ukraine could establish "model
cooperation" which, after instituting visa procedures as demanded by the
EU, would not hamper bilateral relationships. In a word, both countries
could accomplish much. True, in an interview with The Day (see
p. Day after Day) Prime Minister Buzek notes that it is still unclear
who will finance the Baku-Odesa-Gdansk oil route and who will buy the oil.
Also, he carefully avoided the visa issue: whether instituting visas is
that necessary and if there is a way to do without it. Likewise, he left
unanswered the question about how Ukrainian miners would react to increased
Polish coal supplies, considering that state subsidies make Polish coal
cheaper.
