Always relevant?

This is a monument to cottagers in Berdiansk. During the May holidays similar picture can be seen live at many gardens all over Ukraine.

According to the results of the survey conducted by the Research Center of the International HR Portal hh.ua, most Ukrainians stayed at home or went to work in their gardens outside the city during May holidays. Although, for example, office workers do not like to go to summer gardens all that much – only 16 percent from this category spend their free time that way. And they rather stay and relax there than work in the garden. People go to their summer gardens to have some rest and spend time close to nature. Some of them make kebabs there.

The situation today is very different from the 1990s, when every square centimeter of plot of land was planted with potatoes, carrots, and beets. Back then, this saved many from starving, today summer gardens are for taking time to relax. That is why soon a monument with a chaise longue, barbecue, and inflatable pool will be more relevant. But for the villagers in Berdiansk this sculpture is always relevant.
