Treasures from Solomia Krushelnytska’s House
Lviv continues to host an exhibit of materials from the Krushelnytska Museum collection
Dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the museum, the exhibition is taking place at the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion. The Day has learned at the Krushelnytska Museum that the exhibition Treasures from Solomia Krushelnytska’s House include more than 150 original items from eight sub-collections of the museum, which houses pieces from private archives of legendary people who brought international fame to Ukraine, such as singers Oleksandr Myshuha, Modest Mentsynsky, Solomia Krushelnytska and Anna Krushelnytska, Odarka Bandrivska, Ira Malaniuk, Mykhailo Holynsky, Ivanna Synenka-Ivanytska, Oleksandra Lubych-Parakhoniak, Ivanka Myhal, Nina Shevchenko, Volodymyr Ihnatenko; composers Stanislav Liudkevych, Vasyl Barvinsky, Mykola Kolessa; pianists Liubka Kolessa, Maria Krushelnytska, Halia Levytska, Daria Hordynska-Karanovych, Roman Kryshtalsky; violinists Yurii Krykh and Yaroslav Hrytsai... The exhibits include also rare printed music sheets and gramophone records of the late 19th and early 20th centuries as well as works of fine and decorative arts that reveal further riches contained in the collection of the Krushelnytska Museum.
Let us recall that the Krushelnytska Musical Memorial Museum has its special place in the cultural space of Ukraine, and its collection, including almost 20,000 items, is one of the richest in its coverage of Ukrainian musical culture figures.
The exhibition is housed at the exhibition hall of the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion in 1 Muzeina Square. It will run until March 2. Admission is free.
