The Master Klass culture center will host a concert of the trio led by creative French accordionist of Roma descent Marian Badoi on November 26, as part of Oleksii Kohan’s solo project “Theme and Variations. Live.” Badoi’s partners are guitarist Olivier Kikteff and bassist Tanguy Blum. Kohan will be the host of the evening. Let us recall that Badoi was born in 1987 in the Romanian village of Ditesti, which gave the world many virtuoso musicians.

His grandfather was a violinist, while his father was an accordionist. 3-year-old Badoi was already able to deftly press the accordion keys, and he moved to Paris with his father when he was 14, to make a living playing music in the subway. Badoi discovered legacy of legendary Roma jazzman Django Reinhardt in 2006. He went on to form a musical project of his own that performs jazz manouche. Members of the Marian Badoi Trio organically combine emotional Roma melodies with jazz improvisations.
