Roman Kofman. Dedication

On September 12, in the Column Hall of the National Philharmonic Society of Ukraine an open rehearsal of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic Society of Ukraine is scheduled (with Roman Kofman as chief conductor) together with the presentation of the documentary Roman Kofman. Dedication, created to honor the maestro’s birthday anniversary.

The documentary features world-known musicians, Kofman’s friends and colleagues: Arvo Part, Valentyn Sylvestrov, Gia Kancheli, Gidon Kremer, Eliso Virsaladze, Natalia Gutman, Stig Andersen, Boris Andrianov, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, actress Ada Rohovtseva, and Kofman’s pupil, Kyrylo Karabyts. The reminiscences of Kofman and his wife Iryna Sablina intertwine with quotes from books, the master’s poems and music. The film was conceived and directed by Viktoria Bibik, camera by Volodymyr Syntsov, Viktoria Bibik, Pavlo Krasovsky, and Oleksii Kurenkov.
