The young talented artist from Odesa has created a new cycle, which he has named “Bedroom Suburb.” This is an artist’s view of a commuter town, whose inhabitants travel to work to the city and come back home only to sleep. The next day the routine repeats. However, the notion of a “bedroom suburb” has acquired a much larger sense now than the original.

This is a space where nothing ever happens, devoid of any development and change, a fossilized, solidified territory. The vast majority of bedroom suburbs are absolutely faceless, devoid of any esthetic value, inspire drowsiness and weakness. The characters are very conventionally tied to the environment, while the continual commuting generates peculiar universal archetypes and symbols.
