The photo exhibit of the newspaper Den is underway in Odesa Literary Museum for the second week. The employees of the museum said that nearly 100 visitors visit the exposition every day. Odesa residents come with their families to look at the works of the best photographers of the country: young parents with children, students who share their impressions about the photo exhibit in blogs and on social media, and older generation with grandchildren. Everyone has their own favorites.

“SUCH EXHIBITS SHAPE THE CULTURE OF THE NATION”

 Serhii, 16:

“I have visited this exhibit in Kyiv before. Therefore I understood where I was going and set myself up for it. The exhibit is very impressive. The photos show our reality in its true colors. The events that have been taking place in our country are so sincerely and really shown in the photos that it touches the heart. All photos leave an unforgettable impression, but I can distinguish Psychological Thriller with which the end of Yanukovych began. Such a phenomenon as Den’s Photo Exhibit shapes the culture of the nation. I think that the youth should take interest in what is going on today and in such a way build their future and the future of their country.”

“THE PHOTOS SHOW THE HEROES OF OUR COUNTRY”

 Liza, 15:

“I like the very idea of the photo exhibit. It is very important to show the life of Ukraine through the eyes of photographers from the entire country. In this time it is interesting to know how people live not only here, but in that part of the country where the sad events are taking place. And such cultural events enable us to literally touch the history.”

“EVERY SHOT IS SPECIAL”

 Inna, 40:

“For me every shot is something special, this is a self-expression of the author, his/her feelings and thoughts. And it is very interesting to observe how people in different corners of the country see our country and our future. Every shot is beautiful in its own way, although the word ‘beautiful’ does not express my feelings correctly. Every shot makes us emotional, and this is what the art of photography is, in my opinion. It is very pleasant for me to see many students and children at the photo exhibit – this gives me hope and faith that soon the thorny path of our country will be behind.”

“THANK YOU FOR COMING”

 Denys, 30:

“Photos are recollections. And photos from Den’s exhibit are very difficult and painful recollections. What they show is our reality, so, hiding them or not showing them is nonsensical. You can’t escape from the truth, you should know it; moreover, it is our history. I have been fond of     photography for a long time, and I    like what I see here today and I have corresponding emotions. I am thankful to Den for coming.”
