Sending some warmth to the frontline

The display takes place at the exhibition hall, in Kherson regional branch of the National Union of Artists. Oksana Osnach, a renowned local artist, presented a few dozen of her works from different periods of her career. There are mainly radiant and heartwarming landscapes, still lifes, scenes from Kherson streets, scenic wetlands, and other pictures. The artist follows the realistic manner of drawing, and many of her works demonstrate a rich palette of colors, contributed by the nature itself: lush sunflowers, panoramic sunset, autumn in the park, viburnum shrub, etc.

The mission of the exhibition is not only aesthetic, but also one of charity. In cooperation with Zakhyst (“Protection”) foundation the artist joins the fundraiser for Ukrainian military – some of her paintings were printed on leaflets. One can purchase a leaflet for a token sum – the money will go straight to the charity box, and the leaflet can be signed and send to a soldier on the frontline. After the display will have finished and the collected funds will be tallied, the organizers will decide who need them the most.

“Incidentally, the exhibition took place at the time, when we experience an extremely stressful period of our history. So, I decided to join our country’s broad volunteer movement in order to provide help to those who need it and thank to those who defend us,” Osnach told The Day. “I am grateful to Zakhyst for the organization effort – they have the necessary experience with the military to transfer the funds in the right direction. We selected cheerful, radiant paintings to be printed on leaflets, which the people would sign to the soldiers. And it is my appeal to the citizens of Kherson – please, send some warmth to the frontline! At the opening ceremony I heard positive feedback and I see that our initiative met a good response, thus it can be said that the resource of goodness in the people’s souls is not yet exhausted.
