Shevchenko on badges and medals

The National Museum of Taras Shevchenko in Lviv has on display more than seven hundred badges and medals, collected by Volodymyr Bashchak from Ivano-Frankivsk. The rare are the ones depicting Shevchenko, issued in 1911, 1914, and 1916 by Kuchkin factory in Russia. Another rare badge issued in 1939 the Ukrainian collector received from behind the Urals... The oldest item in the collection is the Sich memorial in 1907, issued by the Radical Party of Ivan Franko. It is only a part of Bashchak’s collection that is being exhibited in Lviv, and this is the first major exhibition of the items.
