Stunt performers to meet near Kyiv

For two days, June 26 and 27, the Kyivan Rus’ Park in the village of Kopachiv, Obukhiv raion, Kyiv oblast, will be the venue for 50 leading stunt performers and stunt directors from Ukraine, Russia, Latvia, Estonia, the USA, Canada, Great Britain, and Slovakia. They will hold a stunt festival there, reports UNIAN, which obtained this information via the press service for the charitable organization Slavic Foundation.

The festival will guest such stars in this extreme genre as Uldis Vejspal (Latvia), who will give a master class in scenic motion (handling cold weapons, single and group combat, martial arts). Viacheslav Dubinin (Ukraine) will perform car and motorbike stunts; Dmytro Stetsenko (Ukraine) will initiate the audience into the magic of preparation and performance of stunts involving pyrotechnics and open fire; Aleksandr Baranov (Saint Petersburgh) will show high altitude acrobatic stunts. The audience at the festival will also be able to see equestrian stunts, and attend numerous master classes.

The festival aims to promote the development of stunts performances as a profession and the perfection of the activities involved. It also promotes improving the facilities and equipment used, and focuses on advanced stunt rigs and on the development and implementation of new means and methods to increase the safety of stunt actors.
