Slovenia in the works of Ukrainian artists

15 October, 17:25

Two newly opened exhibits in Kharkiv evoke a wide response. The vernissages show the works of three Ukrainian artists dedicated to Slovenia. The photo project “Photoarchive” familiarizes the audience with the country’s ancient architecture, and “Slovenia/ART scanning”  – with modern Slovenia. Pictures, photo and video works by Roman Minin, Oleksii Yaloveha, and Oleh Vinnyk-Shtepa will be available for the audience till October 19 in the Yermilov Centre Gallery. The expositions show the impressions of the artists from their two-week travel trip across the country organized by the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Slovenia in Kharkiv.

“Slovenia is famous for its ability to preserve the cultural heritage, respect the traditions, and at the same time perceive modern art as an integral part of social life. The works that are on display at the exhibits are interesting for everyone who would like to learn more about this country, its residents, and on the whole of the architectural and cultural heritage of everyone. Hopefully, this creative initiative will become a model of intercultural dialog,” noted the Honorary Consul of Slovenia in Kharkiv Anatolii Bondarenko.
