Down with the Adults!

Anna Sarvira’s illustrations to the book by Serhii Prylutskyi and Olena Stepanenko will be exhibited at the Bologna Book Fair

The Bologna Book Fair recently announced the list of illustrators who were selected for the 2017 exhibition. For the first time ever, a Ukrainian artist’s works have made it to the list, and her name is Anna Sarvira, Chytomo online publication reports. The selection’s winners include 75 illustrators from 18 countries. Their artwork will be published in the annual catalog which is distributed among publishers around the world (it is published in four languages by Corraini Edizioni, JBBY and Chronicle Books). After the Bologna Fair, the exhibition will go on a world tour of Japan, China, and the US.

The forum will see illustrations to the new, not yet published book Down with the Adults! authored by Serhii Prylutskyi and Olena Stepanenko; it will be released by the Liuta Sprava Publishing House.

Sarvira is a painter, illustrator, and book designer. She illustrated a number of books for the Hrani-T Publishing House, including Halyna Vdovychenko’s Misha’s Mice, Mikhail Yasnov’s Naughty Grandpa, Fairytales of Indochina, and Tetiana Shcherbachenko’s The Navel of the Earth, or How Darynka Saved the World. The artist participated in many exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad and won an award at the COW International Design Festival. Also, Sarvira co-founded the Pictoric Illustrators’ Club.
