June 10 1917: With its first Universal, adopted without prior agreement, the Central Rada proclaims Ukraine's autonomy.

1994: Ukraine's Ministry of Justice registers the Ukrainian Student League.

1964: The Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR institutes official prizes in the fields of mathematics, technology, chemistry, and biology, named after the leading national scientists Mykola Krylov, Yevhen Paton, Lev Pysarzhevsky, and Vasyl Yuriev, respectively.

June 13 1983: The Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR adopts a decree awarding Sevastopil the October Revolution Order in conjunction with the city's 200th anniversary.
