Movie about Klitschko brothers to be presented in New York
The Ukrainian brothers became the protagonists of a documentary about themselves. The German filmmaker Sebastian Denhardt became the director of a movie with the laconic title Klitschko. Certainly, the famous sportsmen couldn’t miss the preliminary screening organized in Berlin by the movie distribution company Majestic, reports the press service of the Klitschko Brothers Fund.
The 112-minute long movie was made in three languages: English, German and Russian. The movie not only shows breathtaking fight scenes of both brothers from close up, but for the first time reveals the private sides of the protagonists’ lives, which are unknown even to experts on the brothers. The geography of the filming, which started back in 2008, is vast — from Ukraine and Kazakhstan to the US. The movie includes interviews with the brothers, their relatives and friends, colleagues and adherents, and unique scenes from their home archives. The viewers can learn how the “gentlemen of fists” use their popularity for charitable activity throughout the world, and why Klitschko-senior joined politics. Many unknown stories from the biography of the champions will become a real revelation for the spectators. And this will help foreign viewers understand the phenomenon of the brothers from Ukraine even more.
Over a hundred representatives of mass media from around the world, who were invited to see the episodes, were disappointed that they couldn’t watch the entire movie, however, there will be one more celebrity screening of Klitschko. The movie will be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, to be held on April 20-May 1.
